Construction of an integrated photovoltaic power plant for own consumption

PRIMABIRO d.o.o. is implementing the project "CONSTRUCTION OF AN INTEGRATED PHOTOVOLTAIC (SOLAR) POWER PLANT IN GRID-CONNECTED (ON-GRID) MODE FOR OWN CONSUMPTION", reference MF‑2023‑1‑1‑197, co-financed by non-repayable grants from the Modernisation Fund.

A solar power plant with a rated output of 650 kW (grid connection capacity 499 kW) is planned on the rooftops of the company's building in Čakovec. The plant comprises 2,376 photovoltaic modules with a total capacity of 974.16 kWp and thirteen inverters totalling 650 kW. The electricity produced will primarily be used for own consumption, with any surplus fed into the distribution network.

EU support programmes

European funds are a key partner in our growth and green transition strategy.

The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Cohesion Fund are the primary financial levers for modernising and growing Croatian industrial companies. PrimaBiro actively monitors tenders and uses these instruments for projects that create long-term value.

Every EU project undergoes strict eligibility, monitoring and reporting procedures according to the requirements of the competent authorities, ensuring transparency and the targeted use of funds.

What we deliver through co-financed projects

European funds enable investments that would not be feasible with own capital alone.

Energy independence

Own solar production reduces grid dependency and ensures more stable energy costs for our facility.

Green transition

By investing in renewable energy sources we actively reduce our carbon footprint and advance towards our CO₂ neutrality target by 2030.

Equipment modernisation

EU funds have enabled us to procure advanced CNC equipment and automated systems that increase productivity and quality.

Regional development

As one of the larger employers in Međimurje County, our growth directly contributes to local community development and employment.
